In the world of infinite selfies, you know your guests are going to be taking photos.  Depending on their cell quality, and the available light (ahem, usually DIM AF).. if you’re hoping for a solid collection of hash-tagged photos, you better prepare yourself for grainy, dark pictures with suboptimal reach (read: cut off faces, definitely not capturing your fabulous outfits, etc.).  Yes, these are super cute for a night out on the town, but when you and your people are dressed TO THE NINES(!) you’re going to want to document this.  That’s where we step in!

 

SLEEK, MODERN DESIGN

 

There are photo booths out there who are closed-concept, and though they may be your more classic/nostalgic version of a photo booth, you’re going to end up with a bulky, often heavy set-up in the middle of your carefully designed space.  Other open-concept booths are also heavy in design, with large black boxed designs that can also take away from the décor. 

 

Our photo booth is tall, slim, and shiny.  The photo booth layout its open and comfortable.  This is important to mention because we understand the attention to detail that goes into planning an event, especially a wedding where you want to make sure that every last detail is accounted for.  Our minimalistic profile will blend in seamlessly with your décor, and think this is important when choosing your photo booth company. 

 

LUXE BACKDROPS

 

We care about the quality of our backdrops not only because we need to make sure that things look good at your event, especially because we are open-concept, but also so that things look good in the photos we produce (photo quality is actually our biggest priority, but more on that later).  Our backdrop selection is ever-growing; you can see what we have to offer on our BACKDROPS PAGE!  Don’t mind the model, but we needed her to be perfectly still so that you can compare without distraction :) (if you’re into plants, her name is Sansevieria trifasciata, or more commonly known as Mother-in-Law’s Tongue).

 

STUDIO LIGHTING

 

When it comes to photography, lighting is critical.  One of the reasons we chose our booth is because it essentially allows for you to host a portable portrait studio at your event.  With a studio light and an umbrella, we are able to cut some of the harshness of the flash you would usually experience with a cell-phone, eliminate red-eye, and give you an air-brushed finish without the use of a beauty filter (let’s be real, you don’t need one, you just need good lighting and a good lens J).

 

DSLR CAMERA

 

We like to keep things simple, so here is why we do not like webcam booth systems: PHOTO QUALITY.
 

Some may argue that a webcam booth can offer a cleaner, slimmer set up than a traditional DSLR photo booth, but with our set-up, that concern is already answered.  Our booth has the same footprint as any of the webcam booths available on the market today.  Now, onto the more technical details:

 

There are three main aspects where a DSLR camera will out-compete even the best webcam systems, even if you read that the newest iPads are capable of shooting in 4K.  This is not going to answer the question of sensor technology when shooting still images.  The sensor will be what is responsible of even lighting (no harsh highlights or shadows), and you will have a crisp, clear outcome when you are moving inside the photo booth.  We like to see people have fun in the booth and let loose, and the only way to ensure you can have FUN in the booth, and get a quality STILL image, is to use a camera with a great sensor.

 

THE VERDICT

 

Open-concept is the way to go.  We love it in housing, we love it in venues, and we love it for booths.
